| State FFA Leadership Conference & Judging Contests - 2008 |
The State FFA Leadership Conference is held in April each year in Fresno, California. The theme of this year's 79th conference was "Exceeding the Limits." More than 5,000 high school students, advisors and guests attended the conference. The four-day conference encourages students to develop personal and team leadership skills, discover agricultural careers, establish lasting friendships and honor their peers. Attendees hear from nationally recognized speakers with inspirational stories. The leadership conference also highlights student accomplishments in areas from public speaking to production practices by awarding sought-after proficiency awards, scholarships, and special recognitions.
